If you order anything from Panasonic, hope you never have a problem, the customer service is nonexistent! I’ve called them 5 times in a month & still do not have my issue resolved.

I bought this phone based on the positive reviews of others, features, and Panasonic’s claim that it would work well with other wireless devices. It arrived quickly and was easy to set up. The number and nature of features such as “call blocking” were impressive. However, Panasonic’s claim that it would work well with other wireless devices was, I’m afraid, in my case, untrue. I have a D-Link wireless router and a wireless mouse, and I believe that one or both of these devices caused interference in the phone handset (and, yes, I moved the base unit to a number of different locations and still experienced the problem). During even short conversation of five to 10 minutes, the handset consistently went silent on both ends several times, for about three seconds each time, and then normal conversation resumed. These were not “call waiting” disruptions. This is, of course, extremely annoying! I called Panasonic support. Interestingly, during my 10 minute conversation with the tech, the phone went dead at least three times! She suggested taking out the batteries, putting them back in, and placing the handset in the cradle. Unfortunately, this did nothing to solve the problem. Changing the channel on the router did nothing as well. Notwithstanding Panasonic’s claim of compatibility with other wireless devices, this phone fails to fulfill its core function of snafu-free, two-way communication. In my opinion, the consumer would be better served if Panasonic changed its claim from the phone’s compatibility with other wireless devices to it being a wonderful paper weight. It goes right back tomorrow. Hello, AT&T.

I ordered the phone and received it in Nov/Dec 2009. I started to use it in January 2010. I found that when I finished a call the handset would go completely blank and I don’t understand why. It would have been charging the whole day and the call would have been 15 minutes or less. Now I realise that it goes blank even in the middle of conversations. The only way to get back the service is to place it on the charger for a second. The battery always shows full and I find it ridiculous that a virtually new phone would need a battery replacement.

I don’t know if it is my geographical location but I have used other panasonic phones brought in from the US and never had this problem.

The phones should be able to indicate to you when the line is in use on other handsets. I have another panasonic cordless phone and it does that. The phones only indicate when it relates the other (corded/cordless handset) being in use.

The ability to hear is not that terrific either.

Unit works well. Inconvenient to figure out where you have to program, hand set or base set. Light on base set that identifies a message is almost impossible to see unless you are on top of the machine.
