Intel aims to bring down power bills for Linux users

A new web site called LessWatts.org was launched by Intel. This is to help Linux users to cut down their power bills and maximize the power savings. But is Intel so generous want to help you to reduce your Linux desktop powered by AMD? Nope, they said they only support Intel-based platform.

 

However, this is not the first time Intel has tried to help Linux users cut their power bills. In last May, Intel also had launched the PowerTOP program that monitors individual processes to keep track of power consumption. So, how is AMD going? Hope to see AMD also put effort on similar power saving programmes.
