Just recently Digg launches the new Video and Podcasting functions. Digg is now heading towards a multimedia social news site. The reason behind this is obviously not only to keep the existing members, but also to attract more new members. Currently, Digg has over 700,000 members and they are still heading strong.

The new video feature allows users to digg the best video and by using lightbox, users allows to preview the video directly on the main page without leaving it.On the podcasting, users can vote for their favorite podcast series. Digg has become a platform for users to share discussion on each specific podcast.
