Azureus firstly announced their Azureus 3 code named Zudeo and now, it is officially named as Vuze. The main feature of Vuze is the streaming of video through p2p bittorent. It is like a p2p Youtube. However this idea is not new at all, just because it is released by Azureus, so it gains the focus of all media. Just not long after the project Zudeo was firstly announced, Joost also announced their p2p TV project. Compare to Joost, of course Joost would bring larger impact to the p2p population.

Vuze not only provide High Definition and DVD quality video, but also Vuze announced they have agreement of video content with Showtime Networks, BBC Worldwide, Bennett Media Worldwide, G4, A&E Networks (including A&E, History, and Biography channels), National Geographic and Starz Media. The video is not DRM-free, thus this mean the content is not free also.

Azureus 3 offcially Vuze

Those who often use XP internal Chinese Input should definitely change to Google Pinyin. I have tested it and it is fabulous! It has a good responsive time which is 10 times quicker than XP one. Besides, it has some special features like smarter sentence building and popular words. The popular words is getting update from the top latest keywords from internet.

Some of the users have the habit of typing English and Chinese at the same time. Google understands this and add in a neat user-friendly functions where users do not need to switch back to English input method to key in English.

But of cause, there are plenty of voices said that Google is copying another Chinese famous search engine Chinese Input method - Sogou Pinyin Input Method. While I have tried it, I did find out there is a lot similarities and even the database would have some “similarity”. By typing the developers name of Sogou, you can find it in Google’s too?! Isn’t this obvious some plagiarist.

Google has expanded their power of search into U.S Patent searching. The latest Google service - Google Patents search a total of 7 millions patents from the year of 1790 to the present.

The interface is similar to the earlier controversial Google Book Search. I love Google because they always bring up somethings new that other search engines have not think of it.

Youtube is so hot, even the creator of Azureus, a P2P Bittorent client developer, also notice the power of video sharing on web. But something different from those video sharing web site, it is more appropriate to say it has brought Bittorent to another level. Because watching video from Zudeo is different, you will be prompted to install a Zudeo version of Azureus client whenever you want to watch a video. With that software, you can download, browse and upload your own video onto it.

Recently, Azureus has signed deals with 20 major TV and film studios to provide free programming, and the company also just got $12 million in funding from Redpoint Ventures and BV Capital. Thus, really can see Azureus is doing quite well.
